A classic film projector, as projects film onto a screen for viewing. Generally depicted as a black or gray projector with two mounted reels and lens pointed right.

Commonly used for various content concerning movies, film, and video as well as an icon for a video, as before an upload, link, or credit.

WhatsApp’s design is green, while Google’s was previously blue.

Not to be confused with 🎥 Movie Camera.

Film Projector was approved as part of Unicode 7.0 in 2014 and added to Emoji 1.0 in 2015.
