Emoji Meaning

A paper tray with a down arrow on top, as a symbol for an email inbox. Generally depicted as a white or wooden try with a red arrow. Samsung and Twitter's arrorws are green, WhatsApp's gray.

May be used for various digital activity, including downloading, messaging, and emailing.

Facebook's design contains paper, as did an earlier Google design.

Inbox Tray was approved as part of Unicode 6.0 in 2010 and added to Emoji 1.0 in 2015.
